The challenge was to re-landscape, extend the existing patio and build a new composite deck area. This involved extensive exuviation work.
We cleared an existing patio and removal of 70-80 tonnes of soil to enlarge the existing patio. A retaining wall was constructed and several large planters were built within the new retaining walls. This gave us two separate levels the client wanted within the garden.
A further 40 tonnes of soil was removed from the lawn area giving a level surface to re-turf. A pop up irrigation system was installed before laying new lawn which was also shaped for new flower beds.
A concrete base was laid enabling us to build a log cabin to the rear of the back garden. We then laid a stepping stone path to give access to the new log cabin.
Once this was all completed we could then begin preparations to lay a new patio. This included a new drainage system, a sub-base, concrete screed and then we laid the new Indian Sand Stone Paving.
When the patio was completed we assembled the new composite decking with a picture frame edging giving it a smart finish.
To complete the wall, a Coping Stone was added to match the Indian Sand Stone Paving.
